Standard Baggage Allowance
Each Tioman SpeedBoat passenger is allowed one main bag and one small personal item. Soft-sided bags are recommended to fit the cargo area of our compact vessels.
- Luggage, suitcase, large duffel, or hiking pack
- Recommended weight: 20 kg maximum
- Typical airline checked-baggage size (28–30 inch suitcase fits)
- Soft-sided bags preferred over hard-shell
- Limited weatherproof protection in cargo — use a dry bag for valuables
- Handbag, laptop bag, or small backpack
- Airline carry-on size — must fit under your seat
- Within reach during the 90-minute crossing
- Recommended for valuables, electronics, and medications
- Keep travel documents and money here — not in cargo
Larger or heavier baggage: Items exceeding 20 kg or additional bags beyond the standard allowance may be accepted at the operator’s discretion and are subject to space availability. Excess baggage fees may apply. Contact us in advance for guaranteed acceptance: 60198301228.
Where Your Baggage Goes
Our compact speedboats have designated storage areas for both your main bag and personal item. Understanding the layout helps you pack smart.
- Rear of the vessel, accessible before and after the crossing
- Limited weatherproof protection — use a dry bag or waterproof cover
- Crew handles loading and unloading at jetties
- Do not store valuables, medications, or electronics in cargo
- Tioman is a tropical island — occasional sea spray is possible
- Kept with you for the full 90-minute crossing
- Easily accessible during the journey
- Best for: wallet, passport, phone, medications, water bottle
- Air-conditioned cabin — electronics are safe here
- A light jacket in your personal item is recommended

Tips for Packing for Tioman SpeedBoat
Practical advice from our team to make your journey smoother.
- Use soft-sided bags. Hard suitcases are bulkier and harder to fit in the cargo hold of our compact vessels. A soft duffel or flexible luggage fits more easily.
- Pack a dry bag or waterproof cover. The cargo area offers limited weather protection. A waterproof bag or rain cover protects your belongings from sea spray and unexpected showers.
- Keep valuables in your personal item. Money, electronics, medications, camera gear, and travel documents should stay with you under your seat — not in the cargo hold.
- Wear closed shoes or non-slip sandals for boarding. Boat decks can be slippery, especially at the jetty. Pack flip-flops in your bag for the island.
- Bring a light jacket in your personal item. Cabin air-conditioning is strong on the 90-minute crossing. A thin layer makes the journey more comfortable.
