Terms governing the
carriage of every passenger.
These Terms and Conditions govern the carriage of passengers and baggage by Tioman SpeedBoat Sdn. Bhd. By booking a ticket with us, you agree to be bound by them.
1. Definitions
2. Applicability
These Terms and Conditions apply to the carriage by sea of passengers and baggage performed by us, and to any liability we may have in relation to that carriage.
In the event of inconsistency between these Terms and our Conditions of Contract or any other regulations dealing with particular subjects, these Terms shall prevail.
The language of these Terms is English. Any translations are for reference only; the English text shall be the sole language used in interpretation.
3. Tickets and Itinerary
The Itinerary is prima facie evidence of the contract of carriage between you and us. The Itinerary, together with these Terms, constitutes the entire contract.
- The Itinerary is valid only for the named passenger and the specific sailing indicated.
- We will provide carriage only to the passenger named on the Itinerary.
- You must produce appropriate identification before boarding.
4. Fares
4.1 General
Fares apply only to carriage from the departure jetty (Tanjung Gemok or designated Tioman jetty) to the destination jetty. Fares exclude ground transport, accommodation, food and beverages, marine park fees, and any other ancillary services unless specifically stated. We are strictly a point-to-point carrier and shall not be responsible for connecting transportation, accommodation, or any other arrangement.
4.2 Children’s fares
Children aged 2 to 11 years (Malaysian and foreign) are entitled to discounted fares as published on the Website.
4.3 Infants
Infants aged between 30 days and under 2 years (24 months) on the date of travel may travel at the infant fare and must be seated on an accompanying adult’s lap throughout the crossing. Only one (1) infant is permitted per accompanying adult.
4.4 Government taxes, marine park fees, surcharges
Any government taxes, marine park entry fees, jetty fees, or insurance surcharges imposed by Malaysian authorities or jetty operators are in addition to our fares and shall be borne by you. Such fees may change without prior notice and you shall bear them as and when they fall due, even after your booking has been confirmed.
4.5 Currency and accuracy
Unless otherwise stated, all transactions are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). All fares, schedules, and routes published are correct at the time of publication and are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
5. Booking and Payment
5.1 Confirmation of booking
A booking is confirmed only after full payment of the fare has been received and we have issued you a booking reference and/or Itinerary.
Online bookings must be made at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure time. Bookings made within 2 hours of departure are subject to availability and must be made at our jetty counter.
5.2 Group bookings
Group bookings (10 or more passengers) are subject to specific terms that may differ from individual bookings. Please contact us at hello@tiomanspeedboat.com for group booking arrangements.

- If a lower fare is available, no refund of the difference will be made. If the new sailing is in a higher fare class, the difference must be paid before the change is confirmed.
- Route changes are not permitted. A booking from Tanjung Gemok to Tekek cannot be changed to Tanjung Gemok to Salang and vice versa.
- The change is not confirmed until we issue a new Itinerary or booking reference.
