Total return journey time depends on your boarding jetty. Passengers boarding at Salang experience the longest total journey (approximately 120 minutes including all subsequent pickups), while passengers boarding at Genting experience the shortest (approximately 60 minutes β direct crossing with no further pickups).
The return route picks up passengers from the following five jetties in sequence, with total journey time falling as you board further south.

A few practical considerations when planning your return sailing.
Return sailings β particularly afternoon ones during weekends and school holidays β frequently sell out. Booking both directions at the same time secures your seat and avoids being stranded on Tioman.
If returning in the final two weeks of October (the end of our operating season), book at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance. Final sailings of the year before monsoon suspension are in high demand.
The most-booked return sailings of the week. If your travel dates allow flexibility, consider returning Saturday afternoon or Monday morning instead β better availability and a more comfortable journey.
Both directions sell out 4 to 6 weeks in advance during Hari Raya, Chinese New Year (March only β out of monsoon), Deepavali, school mid-year break, and the end-of-year break.

No. Boarding jetty changes are not permitted after the booking is confirmed. Please ensure you select the correct jetty closest to your accommodation when booking.
If we cancel a return sailing more than 3 hours before scheduled departure, you can choose to rebook on the next available sailing, take a 90-day travel credit, or receive a full refund. There is no direct public bus from Tanjung Gemok jetty. Most travellers arrange a return private vehicle at Tanjung Gemok or use e-hailing (Grab) to reach Kuantan, then onward transport to KL or other cities.
Yes. Return-only bookings are available β for example, if you arrived on Tioman by another operator or by air via Tioman Airport, you can book just the Tioman to Tanjung Gemok return with us.
If you have a flight from KLIA / KLIA2, allow at least 8 hours from disembarking at Tanjung Gemok to your flight departure time. This includes 4 to 4.5 hours of driving plus airport check-in buffer. We strongly recommend the morning return sailing for same-day onward flights.
