Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Tioman SpeedBoat website (this “Site”). By browsing, searching, or making a booking through the Site you accept these terms. The booking contract itself is governed separately by our Terms & Conditions.
1. Acceptable use
- You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in good faith — to research routes, check schedules, manage your booking, or buy tickets.
- You must not attempt to disrupt the Site, probe for vulnerabilities, scrape pricing or seat data at scale, or abuse our APIs.
- Automated traffic (bots, headless browsers) is permitted only if it respects our robots.txt directives and rate limits.
2. Account & booking accuracy
You are responsible for the accuracy of the contact details, passenger names, and identification you provide. We rely on this information to issue boarding QR codes and to comply with the Marine Department’s passenger manifest (JLM) requirements.
3. Intellectual property
The Tioman SpeedBoat name, logo, vessel photography, route maps, and Site content (text, design, code) are owned by Tioman SpeedBoat Sdn Bhd or licensed to us. You may share short excerpts with attribution; you may not reproduce the Site or republish substantial content without our written consent.
4. Third-party links & services
The Site links to third-party services (payment gateways, mapping providers, weather data). We are not responsible for the content or availability of those services. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
5. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep schedule and pricing information accurate, but the Site is provided “as is” without warranty of uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors. Live availability is confirmed at the moment of booking; subsequent operational changes (weather, Marine Department directives) follow the Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy.
6. Privacy
Information you submit through the Site is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which sets out how we collect, store, and disclose personal data under the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The “Effective” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by Malaysian law. Disputes arising from your use of the Site are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pahang Darul Makmur.
