Tioman Speedboat Schedule — Tanjung Gemok to Tioman

This is the official monthly Tioman speedboat schedule for crossings between Tanjung Gemok jetty on the Pahang mainland and Tioman Island. The timetable above lists every published sailing for the month in both directions — Tanjung Gemok to Tioman (outbound) and Tioman to Tanjung Gemok (return) — with live seat availability so you can see at a glance which departures are open, selling fast, or sold out before you book.

Tioman SpeedBoat runs a modern, air-conditioned full-cabin vessel on the route. The sea crossing takes about 60 minutes to Tioman and about 90 minutes on the return, including the jetty stops along Tioman’s western coast — making it one of the fastest ways to reach the island.

Sailing times & how often boats run

Departure times change with the date and the season, which is why this page is driven by the live schedule rather than a fixed printed timetable. On most days there is a morning sailing out to Tioman and an afternoon sailing back to the mainland, with additional departures added on weekends, public holidays, and Malaysian school holidays when demand is highest. Tap any day in the strip (on mobile) or any date in the calendar (on desktop) to see the exact published times for that day.

Tioman jetties served on this route

Each crossing serves the five western Tioman jetties on a single circuit: Genting, Paya, Tekek, Air Batang (ABC), and Salang. Choose the jetty closest to your accommodation when you book — the satellite bays (Nipah, Juara, and Mukut) run on selected sailings only and are tagged on the schedule where they apply.

When the speedboat operates

Sailings run from 1 March to 31 October each year. Service is suspended during the north-east monsoon season (1 November to 28 February) in line with Malaysian Marine Department safety rules, so no sailings appear on the schedule for those months. Times shown are local Malaysian time (GMT+8) and may shift with weather or sea conditions.
